The Primacoustic KickPlate is a mic platform designed for sound engineers using a boundary mic, such as the Shure Beta 91, inside a bass drum. The KickPlate isolates the mic from structural vibrations & provides a solid platform for the mic to capture sharper transients. The design uses a unique shape made from high density open-cell foam that adapts to various drum sizes from 16” to 24”. The foam is topped with a heavy laser cut ¼” steel plate providing mass to stabilizes the mic plus a neoprene top that secures the mic in place even when submitted to severe vibrations.
