Protein ist ein preisgünstiger und kompakter, achtstimmig polyphoner Wavetable-Synthesizer, der auf den originalen Microwave 1 ASIC Oszillatoren basiert und sie mit modernen Features aus der Iridium-Reihe kombiniert – darunter ein ausgefeilter Arpeggiator, Step Sequencer, Chord Mode, Effekte und mehr. In Protein schlägt das Herz der ersten Synthesizer von Waldorf, interpretiert die ursprünglichen Ideen jedoch auf eine zeitgemäße und überraschende Weise.
